My restlessness guided by my drive to change life in ways that may only exist as a dream. That’s usually how it starts right?…Anxious to create a future. Sixty seconds to me became as valuable as an hour. Echoing inside my head my grandfather “waste anything but time”. I caught myself thinking of the end as if I forgot death is guaranteed and to live is a choice. Once again I take my foot off the brakes and continue my drive. Cruising, knowing no matter which road I take towards my destination there are many others have tried to get to the same place…no matter if they took longer or made it quicker in the end they made it…as well as you will. Know when to stop for gas, watch for the ignorance of the road. Drivers that underestimate the importance of keeping your eyes on the road, one crash could leave you in the shop or worse. Always remember to keep your drive, you are your own brakes, you are your own gas. YOU ARE IN CONTROL….see you at the finish line.
You probably wondering where we go from here. Looking over the span of this past year, tired you are slightly. It takes a tough spirit to turn troubled times into progress. I’ve literally seen you travel to places you never been before. Lessons learned, homes for comfort you built completely destroyed. There was no other option other than a leap of faith or drown in doubt. “Should of left when the ink dries but you still write”. Push through hopelessness, keep moving during the moments everyone would understand why you quit. Continue reading “WordToSelf.”
So even when your black man wants to change…he can’t,
If your argument is more whites are killed by police than blacks, I advise the white community to bring these situations to the light. To me that number means nothing, as humans we tend to know what we see and what we experience. You want us to believe you face the same issues we do? Show us and we’ll gladly fight for justice with you. White & Black hand in hand fighting for our rights. See when a black man is murdered by police we don’t see much frustration from the white community. We don’t see a white community that’s tired of the same issue. We see (not all) but plenty of the white community stand behind the police. When your emotions match the numbers maybe then that statistic may mean something … Until then #blacklivesmatter.

They call it the land of the free,

Though I’m born into hell it seem,
This little light of mine I let it beam,
Refuse to be another nigga the world already seen,

Change your path alter expectations,
