Waving The Flag.

flag

What does this flag stand for ? Terror ? Honor ? Glory ? Given yes soldiers have died for the flag. You claim to honor them ? Then why make the flag veterans died for unjust, distasteful and falsify it ? Why stand for an anthem that doesn’t reflect the times ? Many have died for the flag but also how many INNOCENT lives lost because of the flag. How many times America placed its foot down harming INNOCENT families in honor of the flag…Kaepernick opened my eyes to something I’ve been blind too for all my life. Why do I stand ? I thought I had to, I thought it was right, I thought I had no other option. I watch the hate and angry spark from Colin’s stance. The thing that confuses me is that the same people screaming at Kap, are the same people who disrespect the flag. The same people disrespect the president and his family ANY chance they get…The PRESIDENT the man chosen to be the face of the flag for 2 terms gets disrespected. Colin taking a knee is the issue though and not the “Americans” that disrespect the chosen face of the flag. Can we play fair America ? After stating multiple times his issue didn’t have anything to do with the military, countless people decided to take it in that manner. It goes to show how many people will avoid the main problem because it’s makes them uncomfortable. No one attempts to see the bigger picture being shown here. I close with this … Freedom why tease us with something you fear ? Free until it leads to freedo. Free until they believe they are losing control. What is freedom in America ?…Peace&Love

Sometimes you need a voice in your ear,
The way I stand as a man ain’t alone,
How much of a man are you ?
If you make it to the yacht,
But everyone else around you drowning,
Maybe I was raised different,
I can’t call myself a man and allow my brothers to remain niggas,
I can’t build a happy home with pity & a sad past,
Why would I offer you to walk in my shoes?
When we can step together,
No matter the situation & what you come from,
One day I’ll fall too,
Wise enough to prepare for it,
The day I’ll need you there for it,
So if I reach a believable highest height,
I’ll offer my shoulders to help you reach an even  higher height,
This is life how I see it,
Written by a black mans genius,
Hate us but wanna be us,
Black is free
Black is us
Black is you,
Black is me,
Black is God,
Can you see?
Sneaking under the overseers,
To achieve,
The life I deserve,
The rights that I’ve earned,
You can keep the stars but them stripes got to burn.

I don’t believe anyone was put on this earth to hurt anyone.
I don’t believe God put people in your life with the intentions to hurt you.
God is love.
This is where I believe free will comes into play.
People choose you hurt you.
People choose not to love.
Your hurt by people choices within free will.
What saves you from that?
God’s will.

Numbers Lie?…

IMG_0940

If your argument is more whites are killed by police than blacks, I advise the white community to bring these situations to the light. To me that number means nothing, as humans we tend to know what we see and what we experience. You want us to believe you face the same issues we do? Show us and we’ll gladly fight for justice with you. White & Black hand in hand fighting for our rights. See when a black man is murdered by police we don’t see much frustration from the white community. We don’t see a white community that’s tired of the same issue. We see (not all) but plenty of the white community stand behind the police. When your emotions match the numbers maybe then that statistic may mean something … Until then #blacklivesmatter.

Sun Down.

Sun down,
The moment my life becomes a novelty,
A beacon of hope starts to dawn on me,
I could never tie myself to poverty,
Lost pride,
Then found the God in me,
Young man learned when to let the father speak, Continue reading “Sun Down.”

Tell you to chase your dreams,
While you running for somebody else’s.

Just Another Nigga.

Something I could never be,
Born to leave a legacy,
Though I’m born into hell it seem,
This little light of mine I let it beam,
Refuse to be another nigga the world already seen,
Don’t need a screen to change the scene,
Change your path alter expectations,
Snakes hidden in the grasses waiting,
See you fail they congratulating, Continue reading “Just Another Nigga.”

The Bottom

“You’re never as low as you think”-Bas
It takes time and true understanding to learn that we create our own idea of “the bottom”. It starts internally with the things we tie our hearts to that brings us joy. When they aren’t working in ways we believe we need them we begin to feel hopeless. It’s almost like having tunnel vision towards your desires. Too many times to we limit ourselves & our happiness to the things we want instead of the things we need. The only bottom we have is the bottom we create for ourselves. Sometimes when we hit what we believe to be the bottom it’s the first step to raising to the mountain top.

The War (2010)

You call this the promise land, well then tell me man, why are people dying, why are bullets flying, why are the women crying, why are the babies dying, the truth in your face but you continue lying, why do our people quit before trying, why do we base, each other on race, instead of the person you are, fighting, instead of uniting as one, look at the world it’s almost done, and you don’t see that, thanks to Barack sky is the limit if you black, get off your ass and work excuses are wack, God gave us freewill, a heart to love, a spirit to heal, a mind to think, and the devil is around every time you blink, everything is messed up, the school systems, jobs, police, and the list goes on, our closest friends die and they tell us life goes on, no time to mourn, some people have nothing, Continue reading “The War (2010)”

Just A Little Bit. . .

I wish I could be more open,
I wish my pride wasn’t so strong,
I’d rather right my wrongs,
Instead of waiting for help to come along,
I like my problems to be my problems,
Even with the weight of other people issues,
I still carry mine also,
Sometimes I carry more than I can handle,
Even with everything falling down on me,
I never let it show,
To the point it gives an image that I don’t need help,
I can’t blame anyone for that,
As selfish and full of myself as it sounds, Continue reading “Just A Little Bit. . .”
